COALWOOD PEOPLE
It is my good fortune to have a good friend and former boss, "Bernard Johnson", who let me borrow the following pictures.  They were taken underground at the Motor Barn at #2 Mine.  B.J. was my first foreman at Olga Coal Co.  Like all the foreman at Olga, I learned a lot about mining from them.  I also learned lessens about people and how to treat them.   Lessons I use every day.
Alvie Duncan - Homer Mullins - B.Johnson
Homer and Jerry Mullins
Homer Mullins - Ray Lundy - Woodrow Richardson
back row:  Alvie Duncan
            and J.D.Cook
I could never figure out how B.J knew how long it would take to finish a job.  No mater how fast I worked or how slow, he always showed up when I'd finish.  I have been a foreman for 11 years in a steel foundry and my men say the same thing about me.  Funny what we learn and dont think about it. . . .  Thanks for lessons well learned B.J.
