Coalwood people have always shown pride in their town and this was a high point in our town. Dr. Norman Jones was President of the Coalwood Men's Club and under his leadership the clean-up campaign was highly successful. Dr. Jones was the last company dentist for Olga Coal and still has a pratice in Princeton, WV. The pictures on the next page were all taken by Alfred Puchy. Alfred took pictures of everything and everybody in Coalwood. I was lucky enough to have a few of Alfred's pictures given to me and I want to share some of them with you. Alfred had the forsight to keep a history of Coalwood but died before he could share this history and his thoughts to other generations.
