After Friday's party at the War Elementary School things were still going on in Coalwood. Friday night the town was lite up for "Lighting Up Coalwood". Prizes were given for the best decorated house. The houses were all beautiful. Certainly glad I wasn't one of the judges from War. On Saturday afternoon the lady's from the Church had a party for all of Coalwood kids. Games, treats, best hot dogs in the county and a special cake for desert. Another outstanding Coalwood event.
We were glad to be a part of it.
Christmas time any where in the world is special. But nowhere is it as special as in your home town. If you only get to spend one day with your friends and family and make a child smile, then all the other days away from home are worth it.
